Matt and Claire's story began a long time ago, even before they actually knew each other. They both grew up in the St. Petersburg suburbs and their families were in the same baseball leagues, where Matt played with one of Claire's older brothers. A little later, they found themselves working at the same health food store, becoming work friends all while not knowing that this was the start of something more than being just work associates. Their paths diverged as college progressed but Matt and Claire found each other yet again and we already know how this story ends.
Their botanical brunch wedding at the Sunken Gardens was truly amazing. Every corner and every path we went down was covered by flowers and lush vegetation that made it feel as if they were the only two people in the world as we did their portraits. The lawns were perfect for our large bridal party photos. The ceremony was under a 250 year old oak tree canopy that kept us shaded and created a picture perfect backdrop. The reception continued in the main building on the second floor with lofted ceilings, exposed beams, and large windows that overlooked the gardens. I was so lucky to be a part of this wedding with such an amazing couple and a beautiful venue. Congratulations to Matt and Claire Miller!
I also wanted to do something a little different and gathered some vendor information and a personal thought from the newlyweds that might help those who are planning their own wedding. The links are below the photos.
What was your favorite part of the wedding?
Hers: "My favorite part was seeing Matt before the ceremony because I instantly felt way more calm and connected to him."
His: "When Claire and I first sat down at our little table and we could look out at everyone who came to support us."
